Dear City Council,
As a local resident who has Recology service, as a member of CAC and as a person who has worked on Zero Waste projects and groups I am asking that you do everything in your power to negotiate with Recology and keep them as our local waste hauler.
Recology has also been an amazing partner in the City of Sebastopol's zero waste efforts:
1. providing a Waste Zero specialist to serve on the Zero Waste and Climate Action Committees
2. assisting the committees with developing Zero Waste policies and event guidelines
3. organizing zero waste efforts at events
Recology does its best to provide advocacy and support to educate and provide resources. Additionally they are a great employer in our area providing livingwage jobs that allow people to be able to afford to live and contribute to the community in this area.
On a side note, I would like to be able to opt for bi-weekly service from Recology because we do not generate enough waste, recycling and yard waste to fill our small size cans every week.
Thank you,
Dena Allen
