Subject: Informational Presentation from Sebastopol World Friends Visits to Sister City Takeo City. This will be a verbal presentation from the Sebastopol World Friends on their most recent visit to Takeo City conducted July 2023.

INTRODUCTION/PURPOSE: That the City Council receive the Informational Presentation from Sebastopol World Friends on their most recent visit to Takeo City.
BACKGROUND:
Sebastopol World Friends is a City of Sebastopol commissioned non-profit service group which is totally volunteer driven. Their mission is to link Sebastopol with its sister cities through a variety of educational and cultural programs and to coordinate exchanges which will promote lasting friendships.
Sebastopol World Friends offers a changing array of programs connected to our two sister cities Takeo, Japan (formerly Yamauchi), and Chyhyryn, Ukraine.
DISCUSSION:
Tonight’s item is to receive an informational presentation on the most recent Sebastopol World Friends visit to Takeo City.
No action is required on this item.

ENVIRNMENTAL IMPACT:
This action is exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3) and 15378 in that there is no possibility that the implementation of this action may have significant effects on the environment, and no further environmental review is required.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
As of the writing of this staff report, the city has not received any public comment. However, if staff receives public comment from interested parties following the publication and distribution of this staff report, such comments will be provided to the City Council as supplemental materials before or at the meeting. In addition, public comments may be offered during the public comment portion of the agenda item.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
This item was noticed in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act and was available for public viewing and review at least 72 hours prior to schedule meeting date.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact with this item tonight other than staff time.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council receive the report. No formal action is required for this item.
