Dear Council Members,
Please consider adopting this alternative language for the proposed November 2 Sebastopol ballot measure:
“Shall the measure (Ordinance (#)) to increase funding for Sebastopol's City Attorney, Ives Pool, City Manager, Administrative Services (Finance), and Fire & Prevention by establishing a 0.25% transaction and use (sales) tax, for 10 years, providing approximately $750,000 annually, subject to an annual audit, be adopted?”
Adoption of this alternative to the the language presented in section 4 of agenda item 2 for the upcoming August 8, 2023 special city council meeting, would prevent those opposed to the proposed tax from leveling accusations that our council has employed bait-and-switch tactics.
