Subject: rent at the Fircrest mobile park in Sebastopol Date: Friday, September 01, 2023 11:28:30 AM
Dear city council members,
Thank you for taking the time to discuss the important topic of the rent at the Fircrest Mobile park In Sebastopol.
As you know this is a senior park, many here are not only senior but also ill and disabled. The rent here Is divided in 3 to include utilities and garbage disposal, so it might not be as apparent how expensive it is To live in this mobile park.
We are two in my household, age 75 and 70. My housemate is a veteran, had a recent botched foot surgery at Kaiser and fell harshly 8 times, so now he is dealing with brain injuries as well. He is bed ridden and is looking at extensive Rehab and more surgeries in the future to restore some mobility. I am severely injured myself in an accident, so life Is quite challenging here for both of us.
This is an older park, not many amenities here, and the management here seems to focus mostly on profits and how to
Use any opportunity to charge more and more… we need some protection here for such a vulnerable group of people for
This hungry for profits management, forcing some limits and controls and demanding more improvements and more amenities
For this elder community, I know it will be greatly appreciated here by every resident.
Thanks so much for your caring and compassion,
Kirby Bruns and Varda Rose
