I am requesting that the City Council amend the current Rent Stabilization Ordinance to allow rent increases of no more than 70% of the Bay Area CPI with a maximum of 4%. I am also opposed to allowing any rent increases when a home is sold.
I moved here from further north where the cost of living is a bit less expensive. I am so blessed and excited to be able to live near my son and his family in Windsor. When we figured out that I could move to Sonoma County as long as I was able to find a mobile home park I could afford, we were overjoyed!
I am on a fixed income and the increase in space rent would definitely affect my ability to afford living here.
