Dear Council Members,
My name is Heidi Chretien and I am a resident of Fircrest Mobile Home Park. I am sending this email to encourage you to please help us maintain our homes in the park by voting on the Rent Stabilization in the upcoming meeting. Many residents of the park, myself included, live on fixed incomes. Last year saw an enormous increase in our space rent, much more than I was led to believe was possible. Other communities understand this situation and have voted to protect residents in mobile home parks against unfair increases in space rents. PLEASE help us. There are so few places in Sebastopol or Sonoma county where low and middle income seniors can afford to live. WHERE will we live when space rents in a "low income" senior mobile home park become unaffordable???
