The item is to request the City Council to consider and make an appointment for the Planning Commission opening.
BACKGROUND:
The City Council earlier in the evening conducted an interview with the following individual for the opening on the Planning Commission.

DISCUSSION:
The Council is asked to consider appointment to the opening on the Planning Commission based on the interview conducted earlier in the evening, or the City Council could consider re-posting the opening for future Council interview/appointment. Appointments are typically four years but the term ending date for the appointment made tonight will be December 31, 2023, as this is to fill the remainder of Linda Kelley’s appointment, as she resigned mid-term.

This item was noticed in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act and was available for public viewing and review at least 72 hours prior to scheduled meeting date.

As of the writing of this staff report, the City has not received any public comment. However, if staff receives public comment from interested parties following the publication and distribution of this staff report, such comments will be provided to the City Council as supplemental materials before or at the meeting. In addition, public comments may be offered during the public comment portion of the agenda item.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no direct fiscal impact associated with the recommended action tonight.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Sebastopol City Council make appointment to the opening on the Planning Commission as listed above or consider re-posting the opening for future Council interview/appointment.
