To make a nomination, Council members need only state “I nominate ”. Nominations do not require seconds at this time. When there are no more nominations, Mayor/ will declare nominations for the position of Vice Mayor closed and conduct the following procedures:
3. Election of Mayor Pro Tempore (Vice Mayor) (Newly Elected Mayor will call for nominations for Office of Vice Mayor)

If first nominee motion fails; the second nominee will be voted on; this will occur until such time that there a motion is approved
