I appreciate looking at Fire Services options is a lengthy process. In reviewing the Ad Hoc Fire Department Committee report, some questions are coming up:
What is the timeline for filing a permanent fire chief position? Is this a purposeful delay to allow reorganization/consolidation and/or outcome of March tax ballot measure? Multiple meetings with Gold Ridge and Graton have been being held.
The agenda and outcomes and further action of these meetings need to be included in the report.
Has Ad Hoc meet with Sonoma Fire? Their new ambulance initiative could be a wise revenue generating tool as well as streamlined use of resources.
Locating the multiple documents and reports generated by the Ad Hoc Fire Department Committee over the last 9 months is difficult. The Fire Study is listed under Special Projects. I suggest a new tab with City Council Fire Services Ad Hoc Committee’s be created to insert all reports and documents to help the public locate all documents in one place and be better informed.
Please consider making a comprehensive table listing regional fire departments that Ad Hoc has met with and include key information obtained and further action points.
