#AI 10: Climate Action Committee
Regarding the continuation of the ‘Climate Action Committee’, which is mostly comprised of people who do not live in the City of Sebastopol, I suggest given our financial state of emergency that this organization discontinue meeting at the community center, which also involves utilizing the city Zoom account and technicians.
While the group has laudable aims, there is no reason why they could not self organize by streaming via YouTube or their own free Zoom account from their various remote county locations and/or convening in one of the participant’s homes.
This would be an appropriate use of free technology that would demonstrate their beliefs In saving energy usage both in terms of transport pollution and also our increasingly expensive community center PGE energy costs.
