Dear Council Members,
I am writing in regards to agenda item 15, the discussion of meeting formats.
Sebastopol is a community with many elderly people who often participate in Council Meetings via Zoom.
In addition, many other community members such as parents with small children, working people, handicap people and people who don’t drive at night participate via Zoom.
I urge Council to keep the meetings hybrid so that many different segments of the community can give public comment during Council meetings.
It is critical that Council Members hear community members, it is vital community members can hear one another during Council meetings. I have been attending Council meetings regularly for many years and am always happy to hear what other people have to say in regards to issues impacting our community.
From the agenda item brief, it seems that the zoom bombing issues have been resolved.
There is no reason to not continue a hybrid meeting format.
Please keep zoom participation and keep meetings hybrid so you can hear from your constituents and constituents can hear from each other.
Thank you,
Kate Haug
