AI 4 : Garbage Franchise Ad Hoc Committee
Recommendation
Thank you to our city staff and the council ad hoc
committee for all their hard work on this, and for
putting together a document that explains historical
context and the rationale and methods for fighting to
get the best deal on behalf our increasingly
financially hard pressed city citizens.
It is refreshing to see time and energy being put into
finding long term practical solutions to city
problems.
I agree with the recommendation that a hauling
services RFP exploration is the most effective,
although legally complicated, way to strive to find
the most affordable future standard of service.
