Dear Sebastopol Council Members,
I have read the thoughtful proposal and appreciate the work you have put into communicating with our small city, where I have lived the majority of my life.
Watching the wholesale slaughter of 30,000 Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank while our tax dollars fund a flood of weapons to the area feels so completely wrong.
I do believe these small actions matter and that a message to preserve the lives of undefended civilians is the only moral way forward.
There must be a political solution to this.
We cannot bomb our way to peace.
As an educator, a mother of 3 children and a person with a lot of acknowledged privilege in this world, I add my name to this Ceasefire Resolution.
