Dear City Councilmembers:
I am thrilled that you decided to drop the dreadful ceasefire resolution that is the worst thing for Israel and the best thing for Hamas,
There is much in it that is distorted and too little too late, like finally condemning Hamas.
I find it curious that you did not condemn Hamas and recognize their depravity in the days and weeks following the Oct. 7 massacre, yet saw fit to propose a ceasefire resolution after 4 months of Israel fighting for its survival and getting close to the end. This is not a game of numbers where we measure the dead in Gaza versus the dead in Israel.
I suggest you all start watching the real news about Israel by listening to Carolyn Glick and Noa Tishby, who are Israelis and know what has happened. You can find them on YouTube.com. The news media that is bombarding your TV sets shows the devastation in Gaza.
What if instead, they showed you the extent of the Oct. 7 massacre that the terrorists took videos of? You haven’t seen it because it is unspeakable and because as one Rabbi said in her sermon, “There are no words”.
I’d like to see a resolution that condemns the blatant Jew-hating that has infected so much of the world.
