Hi,
My name is Kris, I am a community member of Sebastopol writing to implore you to keep Item 4, the Ceasefire Resolution, on the consent calendar. Violent hate crimes against Arab Americans are surging as a result of continuing to be silent and in effect supporting the decimation of an entire people- a ceasefire brings peace, and not doing so perpetuates violence. Is Peacetown a place for all humans or a place where violence against the oppressed is sanctioned? ALL life is sacred, and at least 17,000 children have been killed and if not killed by bombs and gunfire, are dying of heart attacks, starvation, unable to get medical attention because all hospitals have been bombed, children are getting amputations without anesthesia. What if they were your children? I ask you to imagine that for a moment, the felt sense and invite you, on behalf of Peacetown to join forces with the other 50 cities calling for an end to the siege on Gaza. Connect to your humanity, and stay with it, before allowing outside instigators try to pull you away.
