Dear Council Members,
On behalf of the people of Palestine, and on behalf of world peace, I ask you to please keep Item 4, the Ceasefire Resolution, on the consent calendar. As an American Jew who supports Ceasefire, I would be proud to see our municipality join the global voice for peace. The killing of innocent civilians should never be tolerated, and the scale at which Palestinians have been targeted over the past 4+ months is horrifying. The starvation, sickness, and trauma that is plaguing the remaining 2.4 million residents in Gaza breaks my heart. I hope that writing this letter can be one small act that shifts the tide of violence, towards peace.
As one of my representatives, I ask you to please stand on the side of peace and keep the Ceasefire Resolution on the calendar.
