Dear Sebastopol City Council,
I have lived in West County for about 7 years now, many of them in Sebastopol. I'm a nanny for a baby and we walk through downtown every day enjoying the playgrounds at Ives and Libby parks.
Peacetown and what it stands for matters to me and it feels important that a town that values and upholds peace locally also advocate for peace everywhere, which is why I'm asking Sebastopol to join over 100 municipalities nationwide to call for an end to the siege on Gaza.
Peace is the only thing that will allow for the safety of all the citizens of Israel/Palestine - ceaseless aggression will only further aggravate the conflict and ensure future violence without end, adding to the death and pain for all sides.
So I'm asking you to please keep Item 4, the Ceasefire Resolution, on the consent calendar. Listen to your Sebastopol constituents and West County residents and the heart of Peacetown.
