Dear Sebastopol City Council,
Please commit to adding an agenda item to your upcoming city council meetings, where the community can come together to show solidarity for a cease fire in Gaza.
What is happening in Gaza with the support of the US Govt., is a genocide of the Palestinian people. Israel is defying international law and showing no mercy for Palestinians, something they’ve continued to do for a very long time and they must stop.
We must stand against genocide, even if our federal government would rather look the other way to the atrocities happening for 75 years in Palestinian land. A few people in the world make a profit off of war. Most people suffer.
The earth suffers. US bombs are causing immense suffering to women and children in Gaza.
Many cities are taking a stand against the gross violence.
What will you tell your grandchildren you did when your federal government supported genocide? Thank you,
