Hi Sebastopol City Council
Please remove Item 4 from the consent calendar and vote NO.
As a previous resident of Santa Rosa, a property owner there, and a frequent visitor and shopper in Sebastopol, I believe that resolutions on the Israel-Hamas war do not in any way address the root causes of the problems in the Middle East, and only promote anti-semitism and hate. Sebastopol is such a beautiful and peaceful city and, in my opinion, does not benefit in any way from measures that encourage hate and ill-feelings toward people on the other side of the planet. I live now in Israel and it's hard enough to deal with the intense feelings and difficulties here without having to contend with people in my previous home suggesting non-binding resolutions that inflame hate toward the Jewish community.
