Dear Sebastopol City Council Members,
I am sending you a note to urgently pass a Ceasefire Resolution as have many cities around the US done at the grassroots level. It has been shown in many polls in the past months the majority of Americans support an immediate Ceasefire. I have been attending weekly demonstration in Santa Rosa and have been struck by the majority support of passersby compared to those apparently neutral or against.
I and many others have been sending letters and giving calls to our CA representatives to deaf ears. So many of us are resorting to getting out local representatives involved in Ceasefire initiatives as we realized the intransigence of our national leadership as they give mouth service to opposing Israel's most brutal measures and then sending more money for arms!
Everyone with empathy and a moral compass realizes that there are times when people have to stand in opposition to our country's errors on a matter such as this.
You have this choice now, I urge you to take it and join the chorus growing louder to stop this genocidal madness.
Proclaim "Not In Our Name" and "Ceasefire Now!"
