Subject: Support for Adoption of Cease Fire Resolution

I write to urge adoption of this ceasefire resolution which calls for an immediate ceasefire by all parties, the return of all hostages to their homes and ongoing negotiations with the purpose of creating peace in the region.
We know that the challenges to peace in the middle east are many. None of these challenges are met by the continued taking of human life. You, council members, have an opportunity to be part of a movement to end the killing and create a pathway to peace. Please stand for life and the possibility of peace by your vote to adopt this resolution.
