I strongly support passing the Peacetown Ceasefire Resolution, Item 4 on the Consent Calendar for the February 20, 2024 City Council meeting.
Continuing violence will only make the desperate Middle East situation worse for all of us, in terms of both human life and the escalating effect that using bombs and munitions is having on climate change.
It is time for everyone to speak up for peace, and we commend this city council for speaking out. We live in unincorporated West County, and Sebastopol is our go-to city.
