Dear Council Members,
I have attended a Women's Group at the Senior Center for a year and a half now. It has been invaluable to me as a senior living alone to have contact with other seniors who face similar challenging life issues. The two leaders of the group volunteer their time to help us.
I had a hip replacement 3 weeks ago, and cannot yet drive to my Women's Group. A volunteer is donating her time and gas to pick me up for the next 3 weeks while I'm unable to drive.
Please do not discontinue funding for this important lifeline to seniors in this area.
