I know you are faced with a budget deficit that requires you to prioritize spending. The Senior Center should be high on your list of priorities if you consider how much good is done for how many dollars. The Center provides essential services for the elder community. Seniors who no longer drive and have no one to depend on for transportation to doctors, dentists, food shopping, and so on, are able to arrange for a volunteer driver to take them, without charge. The lunch program offers both nourishment and socialization for isolated seniors and the many classes and activities help to keep them informed and engaged. Surely the good that the Senior Center does for a large number of your constituents justify your continued support.
Please reflect on all the good they do and continue to support this excellent community resource.
