Good afternoon,
I would like to first say thank you to each council member & City staff for all your work through this difficult time, and for being accessible to meet or speak with me about the current situation. I see us all as teammates want the best results for both the City and the Chamber in our partnership.
Having been present on almost all council meetings the last 18 months I thoroughly understand the serious nature of the city’s financial situation.
I’m asking for you to consider the waiving of fees to the Chamber of Commerce for Apple Blossom as an investment in our business community. The money earned by the Chamber from Apple Blossom will go directly in to promoting our business community through marketing campaigns, events, concerts, sidewalks sales and more.
This will produce more sales tax revenue that will go back to the City and be a piece of the puzzle in helping the City to get back into a healthy fiscal situation. We greatly appreciate your consideration.
