Distinguished Council Members,
I am writing to you today to urge you to pass the Ceasefire Resolution at Tuesday's council meeting.
We have watched over the last 5 months, our tax dollars rain down upon deferiseless families in Gaza in the form of deadly munitions.
We have witnessed dehumanizing language and a promise to "level Gaza" by Israeli officials.
We have witnessed global outrage at the double standards complicit governments have spoken as the Palestinian people are massacred daily.
We have witnessed our representatives turn a blind eye to the atrocities and fall in line with talking points issued by the "plausibly genocidal" government of Israel.
The leaders we see in calling for justice and peace are our grassroots leaders.
Be grassroots leaders and sign the Ceasefire Resolution this week.
As a resident of "Peacetown", and an educator in this community, I urge you to action and accountability.
