To all members of the Sebastopol City Council
This email is to express my concern regarding a potential cut to the budget for the Senior Center. The Senior Center is a hub in the community for so many of us. I personally have taken several classes and attended several lectures there over the past years and have enjoyed the Harvest Cafe. Presently I am a member of the ukulele club and attend weekly Tai Chi class. I also select random offerings that fit into my schedule and broaden my perspective. The classes provide fun, fellowship and personal growth. I have made new friends. Recently I attended classes on preparing documents for Advance Directives. These resources are so valuable for us as individuals and for us as community. Sometimes I even just "drop in" at the Center. It is so reassuring knowing the door is open! Having a local welcoming resource for a community with a large senior population is something that makes Sebastopol such a great place to live and "play". Please continue to provide the Center with your financial support.
