Dear City Council Member,
I have lived in Sebastopol for 76 yr, went to Analy and graduated class of 1960 with a scholarship to UC Berkeley I also attended the first class of Sonoma State University before it was built graduating with my teacher's credential in 1964 I have been a supporter of our wonderful town for many years To hear that funding for the Senior Center is in doubt absolutely floors me!!!!!
My husband and I have been members of the senior center as soon as we turned into seniors.
He attended the Mens Group and volunteered to drive seniors to Dr visits and wherever else they needed to go. I attended many lectures and have been a valuable resource for teachers, opening our Ranch Buzzards Roost for 20 year for children to experience farm life and was a member of the Farm Trails Board I am now a member of the Love Choir as well Seven years ago my husband, a retired SRFD Captain, experienced a hematoma following a heart operation and is now bedridden. His friends from the Mens Group visited him and I joined the Womens Peer Support Group at the Senior Center to help me stay connected and still take care of him I have succeeded thanks to the group. There is absolutely no $ you can put on this service!! Please reconsider funding!!!!!!!!!!!! Yours,
