Dear City Council.
I do realize that the city has a shortfall of cash this year. however, I hope you can find a way to provide some kind of financial assistance to the Sebastopol Senior Center.
The SSC is crucial to this community and they desperately need the financial support in any amount. To take away this support would have a devastating effect on the center with so many seniors depending on the services.
As a volunteer at the center, I see firsthand how going to the center brightens up the day for people. including myself. Some come in to the Harvest Cafe, (where I volunteer ) looking a little lonely and sad, and by the time they leave, they’re spirits are lifted. To take this away from the community would have some folks living like shut-ins.
Please consider giving financial support in any amount.
Thank you.
