Hello City Council folks,
I’ve heard that Sebastopol has way overspent its budget and you now need to tax our citizens to make up for the deficit. I really hope that you won’t tack on a “parcel tax” as property taxes are already exorbitant and it’s making it hard on homeowners, especially our senior homeowners who are on a fixed income. Since it seems you can’t keep spending within a budget, and you need to tax us, a sales tax would be preferable so that people can buy things if they can afford to rather than forcing us to have to pay through a parcel tax. If I over-budgeted, I wouldn’t come running to you to get me out of debt! Maybe you need a new CPA to help you with this situation or someone who could find creative ways to solve this problem you’re having and not just dumping it on us who are just trying to keep up with inflation!
