Subject: Please continue funding the Sebastopol Area Senior Center Date: Saturday, March 9, 2024 1:12:01 PM
To the honorable members of the City Council of Sebastopol:
I urge you to reconsider cutting all funding for the Sebastopol Area Senior Center. I have attended many events at the Senior Center, and I have found their events to be a great way for local LGBTQI2S+ folks of all ages to get together and foster a warm, welcoming, multi-generational community. I started attending the Center's gatherings in my late 40s, and I'm 58 now. I would not have met so many local seniors without the events at the Center. They always have great parties and gatherings that are lots of fun for the attendees and help create precious crossgenerational connections.
Please continue to provide funding for the Sebastopol Area Senior Center-- it is a huge benefit to our community!
Thank you for your consideration of this important matter.
Sincerely,
Megan Coffey
