Subject: PRESERVE THE FUNDING FOR THE SEBASTOPOL AREA SENIOR CENTER Date: Wednesday, March 6, 2024 2:03:06 PM
Dear council members,
The Sebastopol Senior Center is a wonderful place for my disabled husband and I to meet people, make friends and feel that we are a part of something. At almost 80, we are still able to learn, go on trips all over the Bay Area, something we couldn't do on our own. The senior center is a godsent to us and to our many friends. Seniors are lucky to have a wonderful place to feel welcome, and hang out. We are not ready to sit at home watching television. My husband uses their ride program often, he also plays games and has wonderful friends who he met at the senior center. I take exercise classes, especially the balance classes.
I can't tell you how important it is for us to have a place to learn, enrich our lives and just have fun.
Please don't cut our funding. Keep us connected in the community.
