Subject: 04/02/24 Public Hearing Agenda Item 8 - Consideration of Resolution Calling for a Cease Fire Date: Tuesday, April 2, 2024 4:53:46 PM
Dear City Council,
Pro Palestinian activists are approaching the staff of city councils and council members directly to push cease fire resolutions in the Hamas initiated conflict currently waging in Gaza. The claims of these activists either downplay or ignore the mass murder committed by members of Hamas against the Israeli population on October 7, 2023; while, at the same time, proclaiming the civilian casualty figures published by Hamas are factual. This is part of a campaign to falsely manipulate public opinion world-wide against Israel as a genocidal actor.

In reality, an analysis by a professor of statistics and data science published in Tablet (March 6, 2024) titled "How the Gaza Ministry of Health Fakes Casualty Numbers" explains that the lack of percentage variations among the daily casualty categories (children, women, and men) is continual "evidence suggesting the numbers are not real."
There existed a "cease fire" before the October 7 attack on Israel. Hamas chose to shatter it and is responsible for all the death and destruction occurring in Gaza since then. Do not be manipulated by the disingenuous claims of the pro Palestinian activists, a group populated by many pro Hamas supporters.

Please reconsider issuing any form of cease fire resolution, which will allow Hamas to militarily regroup before reigniting their "crusade" to destroy Israel, without you further examining the facts.

Regards,
Colleen D. Cunningham
