AI 8: Middle East ceasefire brokered by
City of Sebastopol Council
I again urge individuals to make their
voices heard to the UN, federal and state
institutions on your personal views about
geopolitical issues.
Our city council is not in a position to make
a collective resolution for all citizens on this
catastrophic disaster, because as we have
seen at previous council meetings there are
many individual perspectives, some
heartfelt, some profane, some for different
sides of the conflict.
We do not have the money or staff to
organize a referendum of all city citizens to
reach a group consensus, and five
councillor voices are not representative of
city limits citizen views.
Despite Mary Gourley’s considerable skills
and attributes even she will be unable to
broker a ceasefire …even if she had the
time.
The council should exclusively focus on
city business to save time and money, and
individuals should make their voices heard
on topics that matter to them to the
individuals and organizations that control
the geopolitical levers of power.
