Dear Sebastopol City Council,
I am writing to urge you to be on the right side of history and listen to the calls of those in the social, disability and climate justice movement who have been calling for a permanent ceasefire since the beginning of the reaction to the uprising by the Palestinian people. We see elected officials using debunked reports (see South Africa and the UN as well as non-corporate media sources - using academic media literacy practices) and that should scare everyone. Please be on the side of Jewish activists calling for ceasefire and an end to the illegal occupation as well as Palestinian voices from our community who have been sounding the alarms about the incredible increase in Islamophobia.
