Subject: Yes on local ceasefire resolution
Dear Sebastopol City’s council representatives.
My name is Izabela, I live in Santa Rosa, and I beg you to pass local ceasefire resolution. The destruction and humanitarian tall on a civilian population of Gaza is unbearable, and the fact that United States provides Israel with billions in military aid, with no question asked and no strings attached, made US responsible for this ongoing tragedy. Have you seen starving people in Gaza? Have you seen thousands of trucks with food unable to reach the people in need because of Israeli blockade? My heart is breaking every single day.
Israel is committing genocide against Palestinian people because they are getting seems like unlimited military aid and political cover from US. But enough is enough. As one person, I feel I have no influence on our officials in Washington. But if more cities will call for the ceasefire, maybe they will listen.
The billions of dollars the US is spending on Israel should be use on our local governments.
I would like to applause you for putting the ceasefire resolution on the agenda (hope my councilmen in Santa Rosa will follow your example), and I hope you will pass it.
Thank you
Izabela
