Subject: Meeting Disrupters

For some, civility has been replaced by wild-west, gun-slinging, folks who hide behind anonymity and feel privileged to disrupt civil discourse. There is a distinction between disagreeing with a position and torpedoing the discussion about the issue. And, personal attacks have no place in the democratic process.
I support establishment or enforcement of policies regarding the public's involvement in public meetings. If a zoom participant cannot abide by elements of civility, they should be banned for 3 months of meetings. If an in-person disrupter insists on voicing off topic remarks in a way that is not civil, they should be forcibly removed from the meeting if necessary.
