Please know as you consider a ceasefire resolution for Gaza, on the other side of the planet, that it will have zero impact on the trouble there, but it will seriously impact how safe your Jewish neighbors feel in Sebastopol. A ceasefire now would only embolden Hamas to repeat the hideous atrocities committed against unarmed babies, children, old people, families, women and men, as they have promised to do until every last Jew is dead. A vote by this body for a premature ceasefire a half a world away will only serve to make your Jewish community uneasy about their place in your city. Is that what you want?
