Dear Mayor and City Council Members:
After attending last month's City Council meeting I certainly feel for all of you. And also for many of us who felt disheartened by the hateful zoomers. Since there is the option of attending the meetings in person, I would heartily encourage you to consider suspending the zoom option for a while. By doing so you would not be restricting any one's first amendment rights given the in person option. By continuing with zoom, some community folks are truly feeling assaulted by these hateful scenarios. You are in a difficult position since these are organized, calculated assaults happening at most all public meetings. That is why the County Office and other public agencies have stopped offering a zoom option for meetings. We dont need to fuel these inappropriate outbursts. Know that I admire your professionalism and realize this is complicated. Feel free to take charge. Thank you. Pat Boblitt
