Dear Mayor and Councilmembers,
With over thirty thousand dead, the majority women and children, and the survivors facing famine, when will we all do whatever we can to stop the violence in Gaza? Yes, the October 7 was vile but how can we allow our tax dollars to continue funding the Israeli government’s indiscriminate killing (just today, an Israeli air strike killed seven World Kitchen humanitarian aid workers)?
Senator Schumer’s call for Netanyahu to step down, President Biden agreeing with the message, Governor Newsom’s call for a ceasefire all go unheeded. The people must demand action. You are the collective voice of your community. I live in Petaluma and continually implore my city council to pass a ceasefire resolution. I hope you won’t make your community members wait another minute.
Please pass a ceasefire resolution.
