Dear city council,
As a Jewish resident of Sonoma county, I am urging your body to pass a ceasefire resolution. Your current draft is balanced and fair. More and more Palestinians are dying every day and the chances of the hostages being killed increase with every passing day. It would be very embarrassing for so-called “Peace Town” to fail to pass such a resolution.
Even the Santa Rosa School Board and Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights did so. There has not been any uptick in antisemitic behavior as a result, as the opposition may argue. And I’m very tired of my community centering themselves in this moment when over 30,000 Palestinians have been killed and children are being forced to starve to death.
