Subject: Support for Gaza Ceasefire Resolution
Date: Monday, April 1, 2024 10:45:23 AM
I’m Susan Lamont and my name was inscribed on the Sebastopol Living Peace Wall in 2017. Thirty-three people have been honored to have their names inscribed on the Sebastopol Living Peace Wall. Of those, twenty-one are still alive and most live in Sonoma County. Of those, the following, as advocates of peace and social justice, support a Gaza ceasefire resolution.

In order of their induction, they are:

Alicia Sanchez
Linda Sartor
Holly Near
Susan Lamont
Therese Mughannam
Dr. Earl Herr
Jim Corbett
Adrienne Lauby
Mary Moore
Fred Ptucha
Brother Toby McCarroll
Barton Stone
Susan Chunco
Norman Solomon
Also, honoree Congressperson Barbara Lee has sponsored House Resolution 786 calling for a ceasefire. We did not, obviously, contact former president Jimmy Carter, another honoree, but the Carter Center has called for a ceasefire.

With these two, that is sixteen of the surviving twenty-one inductees. So far, we have been unable to reach the remaining five. No one has said “No." We hope you will listen to these voices and join us in supporting this ceasefire resolution in the hope that it can be a step toward peace.

Peace, Susan Collier Lamont
