Subject: Vote no on ceasefire, choose lasting peace
Date: Tuesday, April 2, 2024 4:17:25 PM
Dear Sebastopol City Council Members,
I am a resident of nearby Roseland in Santa Rosa and a frequent visitor to your lovely town.

Today, I am writing to ask you to vote No on the ceasefire resolution.

A ceasefire is by nature temporary and keeps the status quo. While the Hamas-ISIS terror group remains in control of Gaza, a ceasefire will only give them time to regroup and rearm. If you would not have supported a ceasefire for Nazi Germany, do not support a ceasefire for Hamas.

It is not an exaggeration to compare Hamas to Nazis as Hamas has vowed, not just in their charter, but also in regular speeches to this day, that their goal is the extermination of all Jews worldwide.

A lasting peace, on the other hand, starts with Hamas's elimination or unconditional surrender and the release of all Israeli hostages, including the young women who are being raped in captivity.

I understand that you are coming from a place of compassion so I urge you to reject the ceasefire resolution that sounds nice in the moment and instead choose a true, lasting peace that can only come with Hamas completely eliminated.

Thank you,
Tatyana Orozco
