Hi Council,
I am new to Sebastopol, just about a year and a half. I noticed that next week you are discussing water and sewer rates. I know my water bill is much higher here than when I lived in Los Angeles county (Santa Clarita).
I did some checking and saw that the "sewer" fees in LA County were not on my water bill but in my property tax bill. That bill is a tax deduction.
The water bill is not. So when I pay Sebastopol water for both sewer and water usage not tax deduction. Would it be possible to have the sewer charges moved to our property tax? We would pay the same but at least homeowners can get a break on taxes.
