Since this item has to do with the budget, I wanted to share part of the article from the PD.

Christina Rivera emphasized three points for the board to consider: discretionary revenues — primarily property tax — are flat, the state budget outlook is volatile and it’s important to think two years out when planning spending. “We have to stay sustainable and we have to focus on the county business,” Rivera said. “We are not in a position to expand or add new county programs.”
Sounds like a great idea.
