Dear Mr McLaughlin,
I'm writing to request your opinion as our City Attorney:
How could it be possible for any member of our council to advocate on behalf of an organization attempting to intimidate the city by publicly threatening litigation over an issue the council has already resolved?
Wouldn't such behavior constitute a conflict of interest? If not, why not?
Also: Has any member of our council made a similar request within the last several weeks?
