Hello Sebastopol City Council,
This is to reiterate support to reconsider the St Vincent de Paul proposed housing development at 845 Gravenstein Hwy North.
To repeat what Gregory Fearon. an accomplished local developer and former SAVS Board member, has also sent you, following are pertinent facts in favor of reinstating the project:
Current and in--process comparable housing :
1. South Park Commons on Bennet Valley Rd.
2. The Cannery at Railroad Square.
3. Burbank Ave Arts.
4. Mahonia Glen
5. Phases I & II of the Caritas Project.
Gregory notes, "All target
a) homeless,
b) at risk of homeless, and
c) farmworker housing with State funding.
They can be reviewed at https://www.srcity.org/DocumentCenter/View/35105/HousingPipeline-?bidId=" Furthermore,, "... the project St Vincent is proposing is EXACTLY what the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority is wanting to fund with its proposed $20 Billion Bay Area Bond funding (Extremely Low Income and Supportive Services Housing).
We feel that Sebastopol should support this project, and put it first in line for those funds in November.
Thank you,
Arlie Haig,
Secretary, SAVS Board of Directors
