I just received news that funding may be cut for Sebastopol Cultural Community Center, and I felt the need to write immediately to say that this would be a huge loss for the community. The funding for the space allows teachers to offer classes at affordable rates, which is critical for students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford the services offered if teachers were forced to hike class rates in order to pay the high rent at privately owned studios. I have LOVED the classes I’ve taken with Z Griss there and feel it is imperative that we protect this space in an era of ever diminishing public communal places.
