My name is Heather Gallagher,
I am a mother of two, Sonoma County resident. Originally, I signed the petition to place Measure J on the ballot. It was my understanding that the Measure was to end factory farming.
Now that Measure J is written and I see the consequences of passing the measure I am voting No on Measure J. If you read the Measure and any Measure J legislation it is really targeting large farms and the agriculture industry in Sonoma County. I am so disappointed at what this measure stands to do to our community, ranchers, family farms, and wine industry if it passes.
We need to protect our open spaces, protect our farmers who use best practices, and prevent wild fires with the help of keeping grazing animals in Sonoma County. Let's vote to keep a balanced ecosystem.
Please consider opposing Measure J.
