Attached please see photographs of the public garbage and recycling cans located in the 200 block of N. Main Street.
For more than a decade, the Sebastopol Downtown Association and its Main Street merchant members have complained to the city and Recology about the condition of the trash cans and the deceptive misrepresentation by both that the contents of the recycling side were being recycled when in fact, both sides (including the recycling) was taken directly to the land fill.
For more than a decade, Recology was non-responsive to these concerns of Sebastopol's Main Street businesses which is wholly unacceptable and warrants contracting with a new trash service company.
